Prof. Tang Hua was invited to hold a solo exhibition with the theme “Form of Silence” at the University of Sheffield
Invited by the School of Architecture at the University of Sheffield, England, Professor Tang Hua held a one-month exhibition at the Art Tower of the University of Sheffield, with the theme Form of Silence. As the sixth and the last lecture of the Peter Blundell Jones Memorial Lecture Series, professor Tang Hua reified his design concept through five scenes and five projects he directed. While the exhibition revolves around his twelve architectural projects with the selected works intervening the urban space in the language of architecture and exploring the possibility of modernity transformation of the local in public architecture.
The exhibition was open to public and brought thoughts from China’s front line architectural practice to Sheffield, a city emphasizes the social significance of the architecture, leading to extensive discussions within and outside the college and local practicing architects.
